Reviews and Ratings
The hotel's rooms didn't look like the pictures, could use some refurbishing, and felt long, narrow, and very dark; however, they were ultimately pleasant. The service was exceptional, with staff going above and beyond to accommodate guests. The location, while not the best for those with mobility issues, was still in the medina but not too deep, offering a unique experience. The dining experience, though serving a typical Moroccan 'breadfast', could have more variety considering the price. Despite some drawbacks, the facilities were adequate for a comfortable stay.
Staying at the hotel was an amazing experience overall. The rooms, decorated with beautiful mosaics and heavy wood, were spacious and had ample storage. The decor was simply stunning. However, the rooms didn't quite match the pictures provided. The service was exceptional with friendly and attentive staff, even offering to accompany me outside after dark. The location, though not ideal for those with mobility issues, was peaceful inside the Medina. The dining experience was excellent despite the upfront payment request upon arrival. The facilities were top-notch, offering various services. A great value for money overall.
The hotel had a friendly manager and spacious rooms with ample storage, but they smelled damp and musty and seemed ad hoc. The service at Dar El Ghalia was attentive and helpful, resembling a former age. The location, although peaceful inside the Medina, was not in a good area and could be challenging for those with mobility issues. The dining offered fresh OJ and delicious breads, but was not exceptional for the price. The facilities were decent but nothing extraordinary.
I was pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of the rooms, being upgraded to a royal deluxe made my stay very cool. The rooms were immaculate, well-equipped, and exceptionally comfortable. However, not typical for a hotel but well worth it.
Staying in this historical hotel was a unique experience with large and comfortable rooms, although the floors were a bit uneven. The service was friendly and helpful, but not very knowledgeable about the town. The peaceful location within the Medina offered a serene stay, despite some challenges for those with mobility issues. The dining experience was decent but lacked some promised options, and the upfront payment requirement was unusual. Overall, a place with character and charm.
